HomeMy WebLinkAboutPUBLIC HEARING 1981-10-07 PETITION 1981-06-01-17 19546 MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING PETITIONS On October 7, 1981, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000 Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the President of the Council at 8.02 P M Present Robert D Bennett, Robert F Nash, Gerald Taylor, Robert E McCann and Peter A Ventura Absent Alice Gundersen and Robert R. Bishop. Pursuant to Section 23 06 of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the hearing date to those persons in the area affected by the proposed change and all other requirements of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled The President stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921, as amended, the Zoning Act (M.S.A. Section 5 2934), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a public hearing relative to a request for a change in the Zoning Ordinance. Petition No 81-6-1-17 submitted by Metropolitan Construction & Contracting, Inc., for a change of zoning of property located on the north side of Five Mile Road between Foch Avenue and Green Lane in the Southeast 1/4 of Section 13, from P.S. to C-1 (Professional Service to Local Business). Petition No 81-7-1-18 initiated by Council Resolution 587-81, for a change of zoning of property located on the south side of Bretton, if extended, and west of Hardy Avenue in the Southeast 1/4 of Section 3, from P L to R-1 (Public Lands to One Family Residential) . Petition No. 81-7-6-5 submitted by the City Planning Commission to amend Section 11.03 of Zoning Ordinance No 543 to include regulations relating to automotive transmission repair businesses as waiver uses in C-2 Districts.
