HomeMy WebLinkAboutPUBLIC HEARING 1980-05-12 PETITION 1979-10-01-34 18614 MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING PETITION On May 12, 1980, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000 Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the President of the Council at 7.33 P. M. Present Robert D. Bennett, Robert F. Nash, Gerald Taylor, Robert R. Bishop, Robert E. McCann and Peter A. Ventura. Absent Alice Gundersen. Pursuant to Section 23.06 of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15 ) days prior to the hearing date to those persons in the area affected by the proposed change and all other requirements of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled. The President stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921, as amended, the Zoning Act (M.S.A. Section 5.2934), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a public hearing relative to a request for a change in the Zoning Ordinance. Petition 79-10-1-34 submitted by Myron H. Beals American Legion Post #32 for a change of Zoning of property located on the east side of Newburgh Road, south of Ann Arbor Trail in the Southwest 1/4 of Section 32 from RUF (Rural Urban Farms), to C-2 (General Business), the City Planning Commission having in its resolution 2-59-80 recommended to the City Council that Petition 79-10-1-34 be approved as amended pursuant to a letter dated February 27, 1980 from the petitioner requesting the rezoning of the property from RUF (Rural Urban Farms) to C-1 (Local Business).
