HomeMy WebLinkAboutCOUNCIL MINUTES 1979-08-23 SPECIAL 18029 MINUTES OF THE ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY-SIXTH SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LIVONIA Pursuant to the provisions of Section 8, Chapter 14 of the City Charter, the above meeting was held August 23, 1979, at the City Hall, 33C01 Five Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the President of the Council at approximately 5:10 P. M. Roll was called with the following result: Present-- Robert E. McCann, Gerald Taylor, Peter A. Ventura and Robert F. Nash, Absent-- Robert D. Bennett, Robert R. Bishop and Jerry Raymond. Elected and appointed officials present: Addison W. Bacon, City Clerk; Harry C. Tatigian, City Attorney; and John Nagy, City Planner. By Councilman Ventura, seconded by Councilman Taylor, it was #829-79 RESOLVED, that having considered a communication from the City Planning Commission, dated July 17, 1979, which transmits its resolution 7-116-79, adopted on July 10, 1979, with regard to Petition 79-6-8-16 submitted by Siegal/Tuomaala Associates, Inc. requesting site plan approval to construct a nine-story building for senior citizens housing on the west side of North Laurel Park Drive between Six Mile Road and University Drive in Section 7, pursuant to the provisions set forth in Section 18.47 of Ordinance No. 543, as amended, the Council does hereby determine to concur in the recommendation of the Planning Commission and Petition 79-6-8-16 is hereby approved and granted, such approval to be based upon the same condi- tions as those set forth in the aforesaid recommendation of the Planning Commission. A roll call vote was taken an the foregoing resolution with the following result: AYES: Nash, Taylor, Ventura and McCann. NAYS: None. By Councilman Nash, seconded by Councilman Taylor, and unanimously adopted, thin 176th Special Meeting of the Council of the City of Livonia was duly adjourned at 5:15 P.
