HomeMy WebLinkAboutCOUNCIL MINUTES 1977-02-28 SPECIAL 16167 MINUTES OF THE HUNDRED SIXTY-SIXTH SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LIVONIA Pursuant to the provisions of Section 8, Chapter IV of the City Charter, the above meeting was held February 28, 1977, at the City Hall, 33001 Five Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the President at approximately 7 05 P. M. . Roll was called with the following result: Present--Robert E. McCann, Robert F. Nash, Jerry H. Brown, Jerry Raymond, Peter A. Ventura, Robert R. Bishop and Robert D. Bennett. Absent--None. Elected and appointed officials present: Addison W. Bacon, City Clerk, Harry C. Tatigian, City Attorney; Robert Osborn, Director of Public Works; John Nagy, City Planner and G. E. Siemert, City Engineer. By Councilman Ventura, seconded by Councilman Bennett, it was #186-77 RESOLVED, that having considered a communication from the Depart- ment of Law, dated February 28, 1977, and a communication from the City Engineer and City Planner, dated February 25, 1977, approved by the Director of Public Works and approved for submission by the Mayor, and to which is attached a letter from R. E. Dailey & Company, dated February 24, 1977, relative to the employment of a construction manager for the propos- ed construction of the Livonia Civic Center Municipal Building and the renovation of the existing City Hall, the Council does hereby determine to authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute such a contract for and on behalf of the City of Livonia with the firm of R. E. Dailey & Company, a Michigan Corporation, 19200 W. Eight Mile Road, Southfield, Michigan 48075, for this purpose, said contract to be in the attached form herein consider- ed, and which contract provides that the guaranteed maximum for personnel expenses after application of multiples shall not exceed $190,591.75, and that the total of all reimbursable expenses is estimated to be in the amount of $105,800.00. A roll call vote was taken on the foregoing resolution with the following result. AYES: Nash, Brown, Raymond, Ventura, Bishop, Bennett and McCann. NAYS: None. On motion of Councilman Bishop, seconded by Councilman Raymond, and unanimously adopted, this 166th Special Meeting of the Council of the City of LLivonia was duly adjourned at 7 30 P.
