HomeMy WebLinkAboutCOUNCIL MINUTES 1975-10-13 SPECIAL 15252 MINUTES OF THE ONE HUNDRED SIXTIETH SPECIAL MEETING LOF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LIVONIA Pursuant to the provisions of Section 8, Chapter IV of the City Charter, the above meeting was held. October 13, 1975, at the City Hall, 33001 Five Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, and, was called to order by Councilman Ventura at approximately 7:00 P. M. . Roll was called with the following result. Present--Peter A. Ventura, Robert R. Bishop, Jerry Raymond, Robert F. Nash, Jerry H. Brown, Robert E. McCann and. Robert D. Bennett. Absent--None. Elected and appointed officials present Addison W. Bacon, City Clerk, Harry C. Tatigian, City Attorney, Jack Dodge, Director of Finance, Robert E. Osborn, Director of Public Works, G. E. Siemert, City Engineer and John Nagy, City Planner. Also present were: Ni.... S. W. Curtiss, Wayne County Road Commission; John M. Berndtson and Mr. A. L. Meyers of the Burton Hollow Civic Association. LBy Councilman Nash, seconded by Councilman Bennett, it was #852-75 RESOLVED, that the Council does hereby request and authorize the Wayne County Road Commission to construct and install berms on both the north and south sides of Six Mile Road between Farmington Road and. Fitz- gerald Avenue where service drives presently exist as part of and in con- junction with the Six Mile Road widening and improvement project, based upon the understanding that the City of Livonia will assume 100% of the local share of that portion of the project cost related to the construction of said berms; further, the Council does hereby request that the Director of Finance submit a report and recommendation with regard to possible sources and methods of financing such work, and the City Clerk is hereby requested to do all things necessary or incidental to the full performance of this resolution. A roll call vote was taken on the foregoing resolution with the following result AYES: Bishop, Raymond, Nash, Brown, McCann, Bennett and Ventura. NAYS. None. By Councilman McCann, seconded by Councilman Bishop, and unanimously adopted, this 160th Special Meeting of the Council of the City of Livonia was duly adjourned, at 7-50 P. M., October 13, 1975.
