HomeMy WebLinkAboutPUBLIC HEARING 1969-11-05 PETITION 1969-06-06-13 10969 MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON VARIOUS ZONING PETITIONS On November 5, 1969, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33001 Five Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the President of the Council at 7:18 P. M. Present: Edward H. McNamara, Rudolf R. Kleinert, Peter A. Ventura, *Jerry Raymond, Robert E. McCann, and Robert F. Nash. Absent: Edward G. Milligan. Pursuant to Section 23.06 of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the hear- ing date to those persons in the area affected by the proposed changes and all other requirements of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled. The President stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921, as amended, the City Zoning Act, (M.S.A. Section 5.2934), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a public hearing relative to requests for various changes in the Zoning Ordinance. There were approximately twenty-five people in the audience. *Councilman Raymond arrived at 7:20 P. M. Petition No. 69-6-6-13 submitted by the City Planning Commission on its own motion to determine whether to amend Section 19.03 and Section 23.03 of Ordinance 543. Petition No. 69-6-1-19 submitted by the Livonia Masonic Temple Association for a change of zoning on property located on the south side of Seven Mile Road between Deering and Goff Streets in the N. E. 1/4 of Section 12 from C-1 to C-2. Petition No. 69-5-1-17 submitted by Lindhout Associates for the Livonia Education Association for a change of zoning on property located on the west side of Middlebelt Road, south of Wentworth Avenue in the S. E. 1/4 of Section 14 from RUF to P.S. Petition 69-5-1-16 submitted by the City Planning Commission for a change of zoning on property located between Inkster Road and Cardwell immediately north of Joy Road in the S. E. 1/4 of Section 36 from RUF to C-2. Petition No. 69-6-1-18 submitted by the City Planning Commission on its own motion, at the request of the Industrial Coordinator for a change of zoning on the property located on the south side of Schoolcraft between Farmington and Hubbard in the N. W. 1/4 of Section 27 from RUF to M-1. 10970 Petition No. 69-7-1-22 submitted by Joseph and Shirley Donnini for a change of zoning on property located on the south side of Plymouth Road, west of Laurel Avenue, in the N. W. 1/4 of Section 33 from C-1 to C-2. Questions and comments from those interested were given due consideration by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the Office of the City Clerk.
