HomeMy WebLinkAboutPUBLIC HEARING 1968-09-23 PETITION 1968-01-01-01 9905 MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON VARIOUS ZONING PETITIONS On September 23, 1968, the above hearing was held at the City Hall , 33001 Five Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the President of the Council at approximately 8:03 P. M. Present--Edward H. McNamara, *Rudolf R. Kleinert, Robert E. McCann, and Edward G. Milligan. Absent--Peter A. Ventura, Robert F. Nash, and Jerry Raymond. The President stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921, as amended, the City Zoning Act (M.S.A. Section 5.293)4), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a public hearing relative to requests for changes in the Zoning Ordinance. Pursuant to Section 23.06 of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the hear- L ing date to those persons in the area affected by the proposed change and all other requirements of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled. Petition No. 68-1-1-1 submitted by Claude F. Brogden, for a change of zoning in Section 2 from RUFA to P. Mr. Nagy explained the petitions to the audience. There were approximately twenty people in the audience. Petition No. 68-2-1-5 submitted by Vern Keech, 14931 Lyons, Livonia, Michigan, for a change of zoning in Section 24 from RUF to R-2. *Councilman Kleinert arrived at 9:12 P. M. Petition No. 68-3-1-8 submitted by the Boam Company, Eugene P. Brady, President, for a change of zoning in Section 3 from M-1 to C-2. Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
