MINUTES OF THE NINETY-SECOND SPECIAL MEETING OF THE
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LIVONIA
Pursuant to the provisions of Section 8 , Chapter IV of the City
Charter, the above meeting was held on April 12 , 1965 , at the City Hall ,
33001 Five Mile Road , Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the
President of the Council at approximately 7 55 P M . Roll was called
with the following result Present--Rudolf R Kleinert , James R. McCann,
Daniel C. Allen, *John T. Daugherty, John F. Dooley, Peter A. Ventura and
Edward H. McNamara Absent--None.
By Councilman McCann, seconded by Councilman Allen, it was
#362-65 RESOLVED that , having considered a communication dated
April 9 , 1965 , from the City Assessor, approved as to budgetary
statements by the Budget Director, and as to legal statements by
the Department of Law, the Council does hereby appropriate the sum
of $540 .00 from the Unallocated Surplus Fund to the following
accounts in the following amounts
Acct . No . 145-1 of the Board of Review $360 . 00
Acct . No . 140- 1 of the City Assessor $180 . 00
and the City Clerk is hereby requested to do all things necessary or
incidental to the full performance of this resolution.
A roll call vote was taken on the foregoing resolution with the following
result
AYES McCann, Allen, Dooley, Daugherty and Kleinert
NAYS McNamara and Ventura
The President declared the resolution adopted .
*Councilman John T Daugherty was execused at 7 58 P. M. , for the
balance of the meeting
The President relinquished the Chair to the Vice President at 7 59
P. M. , who thereupon presided for the balance of the meeting.
By Councilman Kleinert , seconded by Councilman McNamara and unanimous-
ly adopted, it was

#363-65 RESOLVED that , having considered a letter of resignation
effective April 30 , 1965 , from Councilman John T. Daugherty, dated
imApril 12, 1965 , the Council does hereby acknowledge and accept the
same, to be effective April 30 , 1965 .
By Councilman Kleinert , seconded by Councilman McNamara, it was
#364-65 RESOLVED that , having considered the resignation of
Councilman John T . Daugherty, dated April 12 , 1965 , the Council ,
in accordance with the Charter of the City of Livonia, Chapter IV ,
Section 4, does hereby appoint William E . Parks as Councilman of
the City of Livonia to fill the vacancy effective May 1 , 1965 ,
caused by the resignation of Councilman John T. Daugherty, and to
hold such office until the Monday next following the next regular
City election.
A roll call vote was taken on the foregoing resolution with the following
result
AYES Kleinert , McNamara, Dooley, Ventura and McCann.
NAYS Allen.
The Vice President declared the resolution adopted
On motion of Councilman Kleinert , seconded by Councilman Ventura
and unanimously adopted, this 92nd Special Meeting of the Council of the
City of Livonia was duly adjourned at 8 06 P. M. , April 12 , 1965
