MINUTES OF THE SEVENTY-SIXTH SPECIAL MEETING (F THE
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LIVONIA
Pursuant to the provisions of Section 8, Chapter IV of the City Charter,
the above meeting was held on February 25, 1963, at the City Hall, 33001 Five Mile
Road, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the President of the Council
at approximately 9:30 P. M. Roll was called with the following result: Present--
Sydney B. Bagnall, William E. Parks, John F. Dooley, Edward H. McNamara and James
R. McCann. Absent-- John T. Daugherty and Rudolf R. Kleinert.
The meeting was called by Mayor Harvey W. Moelke for the purpose of
bringing to the Council's attention certain legislation recently introduced in the
State Legislature which, if adopted, to uld affect the City's annual receipts from
the race track. After hearing a statement from the Mayor, the Council determined
that the meeting was called for discussion only, and no action would be taken.
On motion of Councilman McCann, seconded by Councilman McNamara and
unanimously adopted, this 76th special meeting of the Council of the City of
Livonia was duly adjourned at 9:13 P. M., February 25, 1963.
