HomeMy WebLinkAboutCOUNCIL MINUTES 1961-04-22 SPECIAL Page 4772 MINUTES OF THE S1 XTY-FIRST SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL CF THE CITY OF LIVONIA Pursuant to the provisions of Section e, Chapter IV of the City Charter, the above meeting was held on April 22, 1561, at 33001 Five Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the President of the Council at approximately 11:00 o'clock A. M. Roll was called with the following result: Present-- Sydney B. Bagnall, William N. Ponder, Rudolf R. Kleinert, Austin T. Grant, Jack Salvadore and James R. McCann. Absent-- John T. Daugherty. Mr. Irving Bond, Chairman of the Industrial Devel opment Commission, introduced Mr. Thomas Heap, member of the Commission, who presented a proposed Editorial Survey by Conway Publications, Inc., of Atlanta, Georgia, in accordance with resolution #59-L.-61, adopted by the Industrial Development Commission. By Councilman Salvadore, seconded by Councilman Grant, it was #254-61 IIEsOLVED that, having considered the recommendation of the Industrial Development Commission, dated April 21, 1961, together with the proposal from Conway Publications, Inc., dated April 5, 1961, the Council does hereby authorize the Conway Publications, Inc., Atlanta, Georgia, to proceed with the preparation of a sixteen (16) page editorial survey of Livonia, Michigan, and the publication of same in the June, 1961, issue of Industrial Development and 'Manufacturers Record Magazine, for a total cost to the City of Livonia of $5,382.00; provided further, the Council authorizes the expenditure of such sum from the Budget of the Industrial Development Commission for this purpose, and also authorizes the Mayor and City Clerk to execute a contract for and on behalf of the City in accordance with the terms of this resolution and the proposal of the Company. A roll call vote was taken on the fore •oing resolution with the following result: AYES: Salvadore, Ponder, Kleinert, Grant, McCann and Bagnall. NAYS: None. On motion of Councilman Ponder, seconded by Councilman Kleinert and unanimously adopted, this 61st special meeting of the Council of the City of Livonia was duly adjourned at 11:06 A.
