MINUTES OF THE FIFTY-FIFTH SPECIAL 1'EETINd OF THE
COUNCIL OF THE CITY Ob' LIVONIA
Pursuant to the provisions of Section 8, Chapter IV of the City Charter,
the above meeting was held on. September 15, 1960, at the City Hall, 33001 Five Mile
Woad, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the President at approximately
6:25 P. M. Roll was called with the following result: Present-- Robert Sasser,
Jack Salvadore, Sydney B. Bagnall, Rudolf R. Kleinert and John T. Daugherty.
Absent-- James R. McCann and Austin T. Brant.
By Councilman Kleinert, seconded by Councilman 3agnall, it was
#;563-60 Fw�'SCL\ED that, having considered the report of the City Clerk,
the letter dated September 13, 1960, from the Chief Deputy County Clerk,
and the letter dated Septemb r 1L, 1960, from the :•aayor, the Council does
hereby authorize the Election Commission to purchase ten (10) Shoup Voting
Machines at sl,t'23.00 each, from the Shoup Voting lfachine Corporation; and
the Election Commission is requested to prepare a recomrrendation as to
financing such purchase in the next fiscal year.
A roll call vote was taken on the foreL,oin1., resolution with the following result:
AYES: Kleinert, Bagnall, dalvadore, Daugherty and Sasser.
NAYS: None.

adopted, it was
#564-60 ESOLTT that, having considered the communication dated July 8,
1960, from the Liquor Control Commission and the recommendation dated
Ceptember 13, 19b0, from the i dice Chief and Director of Public Safety,
the Council does h-reby approve the re;nest from Richard J. and Janett M.
Johns to add Janett M. Johns, as partner, and transfer location of 1960
SDD-„DIST licenses from 31420 N. Five 'Zile Road to .311.50 N.Five Mile Road,
Livonia, i hi gam,
On motion or. Councilman Kleinert, seconded by Councilman Daugherty and
unanimously adopted, this 55th special rrneting of the Ccanon of the City of Livonia
was duly adjourned at 6:47 P. M., September 15, 1960.
