HomeMy WebLinkAboutCOUNCIL MINUTES 1955-06-30 SPECIAL Page 1934 MINUTES OF THE TWENTY-NINTH SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LIVONIA ifts On June 30, 1955, the above meeting was held at 33001 Five Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order at approximately 9:40 P. M., by the President of the Council, John T. Daugherty. Roll was called with the following result: Present-- John T. Daugherty, David L. Jones, Harry R. Killam and Rudolf R. Kleinert. Absent-- John W. Whitehead, Nettie Carey and Wilson W. Edgar. Mr. Edgar waived his right to notice of special meetings by letter dated June 20, 1955. By Councilman Kleinert, seconded by Councilman Killam and unanimously adopted, it was #343-55 RESOLVED, that the Council does hereby confirm the appoint- ment of Gladys L. Price as Deputy City Clerk for this meeting. By Councilman Kleinert, seconded by Councilman Killam and unanimously adopted, it was ift• #344-55 RESOLVED, that the Council approve the Rules Regulating the Use of Water taken from the Distribution System of the City of Livonia, 1955, subject to adoption and publication of such rules by the Board of Water Commissioners. By Councilman Kleinert, seconded by Councilman Jones and unanimously adopted, it was #345-55 RESOLVED, that the meeting recess, pending the arrival of Mr. John Nunneley, of Miller, Canfield, Paddock and Stone, bond attorneys. A recess was called at 9:50 P. M., after which the meeting resumed with all members present who were named as present in the original roll call of this meeting. After consideration of the matter of a supplemental agreement with the Wayne County Road Commission, it was decided that a supplemental agreement was not necessary, but that certain amendments to Ordinance No. 98, as presently amended, were necessary in order to provide for the total financing of the sewer program in the proper manner; therefore, no action was taken at this special meeting, but Mr. Page 1935 Nunneley was directed to prepare the necessary amending ordinance to be presented iftw at a special meeting to be duly called, pursuant to the Charter. On motion of Councilman Kleinert, seconded by Councilman Jones and unanimously adopted, this 29th Special Meeting of the City Council was duly adjourned at 11:25 P.
