MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED FORTY-FIFTH REGULAR
METING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LIVONIA

On August 6, 1951, the adjourned 15th regular meeting of the Council
of the City of Livonia was called to order at approximately 9114 A. M by
the President of the Council, Harry $ Wolfe Roll was called with the
following result• Present-- Harry S. Wolfe, Wilson W Edgar, Harvey Jahn,
and William Taylor Absent-- Raymond E Grimm, Nettie Carey and John Whitehead.
Mr Newberry of Ford Motor Company was also present at this time
The City Clerk read and presented a letter dated August 3, 1951,
addressed to Mayor Jesse Ziegler from Ford Motor Company, which contained
a check from said company in the amount of $135,000 00 tendered as a
contribution to the City of Livonia to be used for public purposes
By Councilman Edgar, seconded by Councilman Taylor and unanimously
ILK adopted as follows, it was •
/959/ RESOLVED, that the City of Livonia does hereby accept
from Ford Motor Company the sum of $135,000.00, (as a donation)
which amount shall be deposited in the General Funds of the City.
By Councilman Taylor, seconded by Councilman Jahn and unanimously
passed, the meeting was adjourned at 9:1$ A M , August 6, 1951
