M by the President of the Council, Harry $ Wolfe Roll was called with the following result• Present-- Harry S. Wolfe, Wilson W Edgar, Harvey Jahn, and William Taylor Absent-- Raymond E Grimm, Nettie Carey and John Whitehead. Mr Newberry of Ford Motor Company was also present at this time The City Clerk read and presented a letter dated August 3, 1951, addressed to Mayor Jesse Ziegler from Ford Motor Company, which contained a check from said company in the amount of $135,000 00 tendered as a contribution to the City of Livonia to be used for public purposes By Councilman Edgar, seconded by Councilman Taylor and unanimously ILK adopted as follows, it was • /959/ RESOLVED, that the City of Livonia does hereby accept from Ford Motor Company the sum of $135,000.00, (as a donation) which amount shall be deposited in the General Funds of the City.
