HomeMy WebLinkAboutCOUNCIL MINUTES 1951-07-14 ADJOURNED Page 158 MINU"IES OF THE ADJOURNED NINTH SPECIAL MTING OF THE COUNCIL OF TPX CITY OF LIVONIA twos On July 14, 1951, the adjourned Ninth Special meeting of the Council of the City of Livonia was called to order at approximately 1:20 P M. by the President of the Council, Harry S Wolfe Roll was called with the following result: Present-- Harry :.3 Wolfe, Wilson 17 Edgar, Nettie Carey, William Taylor and John Whitehead. Absent-- Raymond E. ('imm and Harvey Jahn The City Engineer, Herald Hamill, presented to the Council an abstract of all bids received for construction of storm sewer to serve the new Ford Tank Plant at Plymouth and Levan Roads. By Councilman Edgar, seconded by Councilman Taylor and unanimously adopted as follows, it was : //-6-0%--/ RESOLVED that, on recommendation of the City Engineer, as set forth in his cainunicatien to Lester French dated July 111, 1951, and on consideration of the abstract of bids prepared and submitted by the City Engineer in relation to the storm sewer to serve the new Ford Tank Plant being constructed at Levan and Plymouth Roads, the City Council does hereby accept the bid of A Arcari of 15100 Goddard road, Highland Park, Michigan, which bid was the lowest bid received and is the in approximate amount of $139,900.00 in accordance with proposal dated July 12, 1951; that the City of Livonia enter into a contract with said A Arcari in conformance with such bid and proposal; provided, however, that no contract shall be made until the City of Livonia has entered into a satisfactory agreement with Ford Motor Company for the use and financing of the sewer; and that the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to sign, on behalf of the City, all instruments necessary to the performance of this resoution. The result of the roll call vote on the foregoing resolution was as follows s AYES• Carey, Taylor, Whitehead, Edgar and Wolfe. NAYS: None. Page 459 On motion of Councilman Taylor, seconded by Councilman Whitehead • and unanimously passed, the meeting was adjourned at 1:45 P M , July 14, 1951.
