HomeMy WebLinkAboutTraffic Commission 2010-09-09MINUTES OF THE 660th REGULAR MEETING LIVONIA TRAFFIC COMMISSION The 660th Regular meeting of the Livonia Traffic Commission was held in the third Floor conference room at City Hall on Thursday, September 9, 2010, and was called to order by Chairman Joe Steele_ PRESENT: Commissioners Gordon Draper, Jim Policelli, John Katers, Cindi Quinn along with Police Officer Sergeant John Gibbs were present VISITORS ATTENDING: Tony Amadon, 30619 grouch Street The minutes of the August 12, 2010 meeting were reviewed. Upon a motion by Gordon Draper, seconded by John Katers, it was approved by unanimous vote that: 10-36 RESOLVED, the commission minutes from August 12, 2010 be approved as presented. Sergeant Gibbs reported that a recent two-day speed study was conducted on Brooch Street The data does act support turther speed studies or increase police presence in the area, however; the commission agreed that posting 25 mph speed limit signs in standee areas would serve as a reminder to local traffic that enters the subdivision. Through a mot on by Gordon Draper, and seconded by John Katers, it was approved by unanimous vote that 10-37 RESOLVED, that speed signs should be placed at: 1) eastbound Bota ch Street just east of Merriman Road; 2) westbound Bobrich Street at Rexwood; and 3) northbound Stamwichjust north of Six Mile Road. The traffic light timing at the intersection of Laurel Park Dove and Newburgh was reviewed by the commission, and further discassion will take place at a future meeting. Upon motion by Gordon Draper and seconded by Jim Policelli, it was approved by unanimous vote that RESOLVED, that the meeting be adjourned at 8:30 pm.
