HomeMy WebLinkAboutTraffic Commission 2011-01-13MINUTES OF THE 66V REGULAR MEETING LIVONIA TRAFFIC COMMISSION The 663i° Regular meeting of the Livonia Traffic Commission was held in the third Floor conference room at City Hall on Thursday, January 13, 2011 and was calletl to order by Chairman Joe Steele_ PRESENT: Commissioners Gordon Draper, Jim Policelli, Kevin Purdy, John Katers, Gordon St John, Cindi Quinn along with Police Officer Sergeant John Gibbs_ VISITORS ATTENDING: Ken Buckley, 2343 Oakshire, Berkley, MI and Luke Buckley, 18478 Indian, Redford, MI (Redford school student working on a school project observing city government mooting)_ The minutes of the December 9, 2010, meeting were reviewed. Upon a motion by Gordon Draper seconded by John Katers d was approved by unanimous vote that 1145 RESOLVED, the commission minutes from December 9, 2010, are approved as presented. An email note from Richard Hayes, 20004 Hubbard Street requested school zone' signs on Hubbard to alert Waging drivers' not to park and block residence driveways. According to Hayes, signs were posted prior to Tyles dosing —the school is now renamed Webster. Police surveys were conducted along with observations from commissioners: it was observed not be an issue at that time. However, periodic reviews will continue to monitor traffic conditions. Upon a motion by Gordon Draper seconded by John Kamrs it was approved by unanimous vote that: 1146 RESOLVED that no further action be taken. Upon a motion by Kevin Funny seconded by Cindi Quinn it was approved by unanimous vote that: 1147 RESOLVED that Chairman Joe Steele sign and approve Traffic Control Oder (TCO) 101] RESOLVED, that the meeting be adlourned at 8:20 pm. NEXT MEETING: February 10, 2011, at 7:30 pm at City Hall Minutes respectively taken and submitted by Jim Policelli_ These minutes were revised on August 18, 2011, to correct Traffic Control Order (TCO) numbering to reflect the current year
