HomeMy WebLinkAboutSYNOPSIS - 2010-04-16 SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING th SYNOPSIS OF THE MINUTES OF THE 246 SPECIAL MEETING LIVONIA CITY COUNCIL – APRIL 16, 2010 ________________________________________________________________ Meeting was called to order at 4:00 p.m. Present: Brian Meakin, Joe Laura, Laura Toy, Maureen Brosnan and James McCann. Absent: John Pastor and Terry Godfroid-Marecki. AUDIENCE COMMUNICATION: None. The following item was received and filed: A communication from the Department of Law dated April 8, 2010, re: potential conflicts of interest. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: MAD After much discussion and eight (8) failed motions Council was at a stalemate in FAT their attempt to adopt a resolution and appoint a candidate to the City Clerk vacancy. AUDIENCE COMMUNICATION: Former Councilman Tom Robinson, 9000 Virginia, suggested Council reconsider the candidates that had three (3) votes. Dianne Marietti, a Livonia resident, suggested Council consider an employee in the City Clerk’s office for the vacant position. th By Meakin and Toy, adjourning this 246Special Meeting of the Council of the City of Livonia at 4:46 p.m. on April 16, 2010. A roll call vote was taken as follows: AYES: Meakin, Toy, Brosnan and McCann. NAYS: Laura.
