HomeMy WebLinkAboutZBA AGENDA 2017-08-15 AGENDA Zoning Board of Appeals CITY OF LIVONIA (734) 466-2259 August 15, 2017 – 7:00 p.m. Livonia City Hall - Auditorium (1st Floor) APPEAL CASE NO. 2017-06-34 (Tabled on June 13, 2017): Sheldon Center, LLC, 24255 W. 13 Mile Road, Ste. 220, Bingham Farms, MI 48025, seeking to erect a sign upon property located on the south side of Plymouth (33111) between Farmington and Woodring, resulting in excess sign height, sign area and excess size of electronic message center area. APPEAL CASE NO. 2017-07-39: Frederick Thurston, east side of Fairlane (14760) between Five Mile and Lyndon, seeking to remove the existing garage (750 sq. ft.) and replace it with a larger garage, while maintaining the attached garage, resulting in excess number of garages and garage area. APPEAL CASE NO. 2017-08-43: Zeal Credit Union, 17250 Newburgh, Livonia, MI 48152, seeking to erect two (2) wall signs and a ground sign upon property located on the east side of Middlebelt (15950) between Broadmoor and Sunnydale, resulting in excess number of wall signs and wall sign area. APPEAL CASE NO. 2017-08-44: Carissa Eden, south side of Sunset (13956) between Perth and Hubbell, seeking to erect a six (6) foot tall privacy fence upon a corner lot, resulting in the fence being placed in the side yard, which is not allowed. Privacy fences must not extend beyond the rear line of the home to the front of the lot. Also, the fence is excess in height in the corner side yard. In accordance with Title II of the American with Disabilities Act as it pertains to access to Public Meetings, the Zoning Board of Appeal’s Office of the City of Livonia upon adequate notice, will make reasonable accommodations for persons with special needs.
