Glynn made a motion to renew subscriptions/memberships to Old House Journal, National Trust for Historic Preservation and Michigan Historic Preservation Network Cemetery walk – Clarenceville, first meeting February. Make it Clarenceville History Day, use the school auditorium, use the Botsford hotel, etc. K. Glynn had an accession related to Clarenceville, building across the street was a schoolhouse, bell is one of the bells that is in the Schoolcraft bell tower. Advocacy Day – February 21, for historic preservation. Tuesday, with the MHPN in Lansing. Due February 3. Resignation of Katherine Rippe, received letter today. Send a letter to K. Rippe expressing our thanks. Current Issues Polo Shirts – make sure everyone has a shirt that fits Budget - $4,500. Got our center cemetery arch back, the police had to get it. Now we have to explore new contractors. Linda has been told to wait until spring. Will have to investigate if repair or replace with new. Suggested to contact CCS. Certified Local District: Will continue to contact SHPO, DL call Re-survey District: Contact Kalamazoo for forms or survey, SHPO again (KJ) Updates Greenmead: State of the City Address in March, consider getting a table for HPC. K. Glynn makes a motion to reserve seats at the state of the city address for 7 HPC members. D. Knapp seconded, motion approved. Schoolhouse: Road has been widened, historical trust fund covered funds for moving wires on the actual move. Now the foundation has to be made, final location and plans have been made. Will be located in the village with 15' taken out of a parking lot for sewer. Walk on Items Next Meeting Voting: May 3, 2017.
