Agenda Item 1: The minutes of the January 10, 2019, meeting were reviewed.
A motion to approve minutes as written was made by Commissioner Farabaugh and with
support from Commissioner Katers, it was unanimously voted upon that:
19-283 RESOLVED, the minutes of the January 10, 2019, meeting are approved as
written.
Agenda Item 2: Formal welcome and introduction of new Commissioner, Jonathan Wood.
Agenda Item 3: Email requests.
A request for speed bumps was made in Section 9 on Laurel Street, north of 6 Mile Road, along
with a similar request on Laurel Street in Section 33, south of Plymouth Road. Chairperson
Policelli will generate a response to those emails.
An additional request was received for deer crossing signs along Ann Arbor Trail in Section 32.
Past traffic data determined that car/deer accidents were non-existent in the area, thereby not
warranting placement of such signs.
Agenda Item 4: Request from City Council for traffic study/suggestions in Section 33. City
Council requested information pertinent to a future development at 34417 Ann Arbor Trail.
Upon discussion it was suggested that:
• a taper lane be designed immediately before Norwich Street to the west, allowing traffic
to gently merge out of traffic to conduct a turn
• placement of reflective tape be adhered on poles and update the reflective chevron
signage at the curve on Ann Arbor Trail heading both east and west
• upgrade the LED street lighting on Ann Arbor Trail
• combine the driveways for proposed lots 2 and 3, all the lots (1-4) should have sidewalks
placed back from the roadway to match any existing sidewalks, and update the ADA
compliant approach ramps
