HomeMy WebLinkAboutZBA AGENDA 2019-06-11 REVISED AGENDA Zoning Board of Appeals CITY OF LIVONIA (734) 466-2259 June 11, 2019 – 7:00 p.m. Livonia City Hall – Gallery (5th Floor) APPEAL CASE NO. 2019-06-24: Alexander Hartmann, south side of Grantland (37721) between Newburgh and west end, seeking to erect a detached garage addition, resulting in excess garage area. The existing shed is to remain, but the lean-to on the existing detached garage will be removed. The above case has been withdrawn and will not be heard APPEAL CASE NO. 2019-06-25: Amanda Roberts, east side of Hillcrest (19214) between Seven Mile and Haldane, seeking to erect a six-foot-tall wood privacy fence along the rear property without obtaining the adjoining property owners’ approval (19215 Purlingbrook). Wood posts exist along this rear property line, installed by the petitioner, prior to this application for a variance. APPEAL CASE NO. 2019-06-26: Edwin Suer, west side of Westmore (19001), between Seven Mile and Clarita, seeking to construct an addition onto a nonconforming dwelling consisting of attached garage and family room while maintaining a detached garage, resulting in excess number of garages and garage area. The nonconformity of the existing dwelling is based on existing north side yard setback of four feet where five feet is required. APPEAL CASE NO. 2019-06-27: Community Alliance Credit Union, south side of Plymouth (37401) between Jughandle and Newburgh, seeking to erect a one-story building addition onto an existing nonconforming building, resulting in deficient setbacks from Plymouth Road and Edward Hines Drive Road. The existing building nonconformity is based on the existing setbacks from Plymouth Road and Edward Hines Drive of 58 feet and 55 feet respectively where 75 feet is required from each road. In accordance with Title II of the American with Disabilities Act as it pertains to access to Public Meetings, the Zoning Board of Appeal’s Office of the City of Livonia upon adequate notice, will make reasonable accommodations for persons with special needs.
