PUBLIC HEARING
Minutes of Meeting Held on Wednesday, February 26, 2020

A Public Hearing of the Council of the City of Livonia was held at the City Hall
Auditorium on Wednesday, February 26, 2020.

The Public Hearing was called to order at 7:09 p.m. with Vice President Scott Bahr
presiding. This is a Public Hearing relative to Proposed Special Assessment Street
Lighting Project for the Dover Court Site Condominiums, located south of Ann Arbor
Trail, between Wayne Road and Norwich, in the Southwest ¼ of Section 33. To
Determine Necessity. This will be heard at the Regular Council Meeting of March 23,
2020.
The Public Hearing is now open. There were 5 people in the audience.
Bahr: Mr. Zilincik, anything you want to say about this one? Very similar to what
we just talked about.
Zilincik: Again, this is almost similar, seventeen lots, a little deeper cul-de-sac, all
paved, again, this is surrounded by a wooded area, so obviously, we
recommend these lights be installed. There will be five lights proposed by
DTE, this one is a little bit more expensive proceeding forward because of
the length of the road and boring. Again, a public road, we turn it over to
the City for maintaining, plowing services and again, just want to clarify,
the residents will only pay for electricity. The lights, once they go in, will be
maintained by DTE. If a pole gets hit, DTE will replace it. All they are
paying for is the cost of electricity and with being LED lights, its going to
be cheaper in the long run, approximately $85 per lot.

Bahr: Ok, any questions for Council?
Jolly: Mr. Chair?
Bahr: Yes?
McCullough: Todd, these are seventy-two-watt LEDs as well?
Zilincik: That is correct.
McCullough: I’d offer approving resolution.
Bahr: Mr. Jolly, do you have a comment?
Jolly: No, Mr. Chair.
Bahr: Anyone from the public want to comment on this one? Ok, we’ve got an
approving resolution. This will also be scheduled for the Regular Meeting

As there were no further questions or comments, the Public Hearing was declared
closed at 7:10 p.m.
