Approval of Minutes dated July 11, 2022 Motioned by Rich Skaggs seconded by Valerie Jackson #WS 6243 09/22 RESOLVED, that the Minutes of the Regular Meeting held July 11, 2022 are hereby approved. Letter dated September 7, 2022 from Supervisor of Public Service, Subject: Request for Consideration of Bill - Noel Cartier, 11030 Sunset Motioned by Candy Little seconded by Rich Skaggs #WS 6244 09/22 RESOLVE, that after discussion with Ms. Cartier the Water and Sewer Board does hereby grant effective September 12, 2022 a Twelve (12) month extension at the end of which the account will have a zero balance, including all new bills generated during that time. All late fees will be held in abeyance during this time, with the understanding that if the balance is not paid by the expiration date of this extension, all such late fees held in abeyance, plus any additional fees incurred for nonpayment will be returned to the account. Additionally, the Board requests that the outstanding balance that would be assigned to the 2022 Winter taxes not be consigned, provided the account is in good standing and meeting their obligations if under a payment plan agreement. A roll call vote was taken: AYES: Gierak, Skaggs, Little, Jackson, Jones NAYS: The Chairman declared the motion carried. 4. Letter dated September 9, 2022 from Supervisor of Public Service, Subject: Request for Consideration of Bill - Aretha Clayton, 9050 Hanlon Motioned by Candy Little seconded by Valerie Jackson #WS 6245 09/22 RESOLVE, that after discussion with Ms. Clayton the Water and Sewer Board does hereby grant effective September 12, 2022 a Twenty-Eight (28) month extension at the end of which the account will have a zero balance, including all new bills generated during that time. All late fees will be held in abeyance during this time, with the understanding that if the balance is not paid by the expiration date of this extension, all such late fees held in abeyance, plus any additional fees incurred for nonpayment will be returned to the account. At the request of the petitioner, the account at 9050 Hanlon will be put on a “payment plan”, whereby the account will receive monthly versus quarterly billings from now on. If required, an M2 reading device will be installed at the residence within the next thirty days. During the Twenty-Eight (28) month payment plan, each monthly bill is to be paid in full and on time. REGULAR MEETING WATER & SEWER BOARD September 12, 2022 Additionally, the Board requests that the outstanding balance that would be assigned to the 2022, 2023, 2024 Winter taxes not be consigned, provided the account is in good standing and meeting their obligations if under a payment plan agreement. A roll call vote was taken: AYES: Gierak, Skaggs, Little, Jackson, Jones NAYS: The Chairman declared the motion carried. 5. Letter dated August 10, 2022 from Supervisor of Public Service, Subject: Request for Consideration of Bill - Wendy Wylder, 39372 Lyndon #WS 6246 09/22 RESOLVE, Ms. Wylder approached the Water and Sewer Board to discuss the in/out charge she incurred when her meter was changed out. Her dispute was that the City should have changed it out sooner, before the outside reading device started to malfunction. The Board and Water Billing explained the City’s Ordinance regarding water meters that malfunction and how the in/out difference was calculated so as not to over charge the resident. 6. Letter dated August 10, 2022 from Supervisor of Public Service, Subject: Request for Consideration of Bill - Sandra Grigorian, 9083 Deborah Ct. W Motioned by Valerie Jackson seconded by Greg Jones #WS 6247 09/22 RESOLVE, that after discussion with Ms. Grigorian the Water and Sewer Board does hereby grant effective September 12, 2022 a Twenty-Four (24) month extension at the end of which the account will have a zero balance, including all new bills generated during that time. All late fees will be held in abeyance during this time, with the understanding that if the balance is not paid by the expiration date of this extension, all such late fees held in abeyance, plus any additional fees incurred for nonpayment will be returned to the account. At the request of the petitioner, the account at 9083 Deborah Ct. W will be put on a “payment plan”, whereby the account will receive monthly versus quarterly billings from now on. If required, an M2 reading device will be installed at the residence within the next thirty days. During the Twenty-Four (24) month payment plan, each monthly bill is to be paid in full and on time. Additionally, the Board requests that the outstanding balance that would be assigned to the 2022, 2023 Winter taxes not be consigned, provided the account is in good standing and meeting their obligations if under a payment plan agreement. REGULAR MEETING WATER & SEWER BOARD September 12, 2022 The Board does also hereby grant the removal of the penalty dated August 15, 2023 in the amount of $55.04. A roll call vote was taken: AYES: Gierak, Skaggs, Little, Jackson, Jones NAYS: The Chairman declared the motion carried. 7. Letter dated September 7, 2022 from Supervisor of Public Service, Subject: Request for Consideration of Bill - Annette McGowan, 16971 Pollyanna Motioned by Greg Jones seconded by Rich Skaggs #WS 6248 09/22 RESOLVE, that after discussion with Ms. McGowan the Water and Sewer Board does hereby grant effective September 12, 2022 a Twelve (12) month extension at the end of which the account will have a zero balance, including all new bills generated during that time. All late fees will be held in abeyance during this time, with the understanding that if the balance is not paid by the expiration date of this extension, all such late fees held in abeyance, plus any additional fees incurred for nonpayment will be returned to the account. Letter dated September 1, 2022S from Supervisor of Public Service, Subject: Request for Consideration of Bill - Elizabeth Grayson, 28841 Richland Motioned by Valerie Jackson seconded by Candy Little #WS 6249 09/22 RESOLVE, that after discussion with Mrs. Grayson the Water and Sewer Board does hereby grant effective September 12, 2022 a Twenty-four (24) month extension at the end of which the account will have a zero balance, including all new bills generated during that time. All late fees will be held in abeyance during this time, with the understanding that if the balance is not paid by the expiration date of this extension, all such late fees held in abeyance, plus any additional fees incurred for nonpayment will be returned to the account. Letter dated September 6, 2022 from Supervisor of Public Service, Subject: Request for Consideration of Bill - Joe Bytner, 14942 Arden Motioned by Candy Little seconded by Rich Skaggs #WS 6250 09/22 RESOLVE, that after discussion with Mr. Bytner the Water and Sewer Board does hereby grant effective September 12, 2022 a Twelve (12) month extension at the end of which the account will have a zero balance, including all new bills generated during that time. All late fees will be held in abeyance during this time, with the understanding that if the balance is not paid by the expiration date of this extension, all such late fees held in abeyance, plus any additional fees incurred for nonpayment will be returned to the account. Resident must pay a minimum of $1,800 ($150/month) in the next twelve months to qualify for additional extension time. Additionally, the Board requests that the outstanding balance that would be assigned to the 2022 Winter taxes not be consigned, provided the account is in good standing and meeting their obligations if under a payment plan agreement. Letter dated August 23, 2022 from Supervisor of Public Service, Subject: Request for Consideration of Bill - Monica Washel, 29601 Curtis Motioned by Candy Little seconded by Rich Skaggs #WS 6251 09/22 RESOLVE, that after discussion with Ms. Washel the Water and Sewer Board does hereby grant effective September 12, 2022 a Twenty-five (25) month extension at the end of which the account will have a zero balance, including all new bills generated during that time. All late fees will be held in abeyance during this time, with the understanding that if the balance is not paid by the expiration date of this extension, all such late fees held in abeyance, plus any additional fees incurred for nonpayment will be returned to the account. At the request of the petitioner, the account at 29601 Curtis will be put on a “payment plan”, whereby the account will receive monthly versus quarterly billings from now on. If required, an M2 reading device will be installed at the residence within the next thirty days. During the Twenty-five (25) month payment plan, each monthly bill is to be paid in full and on time. Additionally, the Board requests that the outstanding balance that would be assigned to the 2022, 2023 Winter taxes not be consigned, provided the account is in good standing and meeting their obligations if under a payment plan agreement. The Board does also hereby grant the removal of the penalty dated July & August, 2022 in the amount of $70.90. A roll call vote was taken: AYES: Gierak, Skaggs, Little, Jackson, Jones NAYS: The Chairman declared the motion carried. 11. Letter dated September 7, 2022 from Supervisor of Public Service, Subject: Request for Consideration of Bill - Jennifer Stemple, 20204 Deering Motioned by Valerie Jackson seconded by Rich Skaggs #WS 6252 09/22 RESOLVE, that after discussion with Ms. Stemple the Water and Sewer Board does hereby grant effective September 12, 2022 a Twelve (12) month extension at the end of which the account will have a zero balance, including all new bills generated during that time. All late fees will be held in abeyance during this time, with the understanding that if the balance is not paid by the expiration date of this extension, all such late fees held in abeyance, plus any additional fees incurred for nonpayment will be returned to the account. Letter dated September 1, 2022 from Supervisor of Public Service, Subject: Request for Consideration of Bill - Ashly Wells, 34698 Pinehurst Motioned by Greg Jones seconded by Valerie Jackson #WS 6253 09/22 RESOLVE, that after discussion with Ms. Wells the Water and Sewer Board does hereby grant effective September 12, 2022 a Twelve (12) month extension at the end of which the account will have a zero balance, including all new bills generated during that time. All late fees will be held in abeyance during this time, with the understanding that if the balance is not paid by the expiration date of this extension, all such late fees held in abeyance, plus any additional fees incurred for nonpayment will be returned to the account. Letter dated September 1, 2022 from Supervisor of Public Service, Subject: Request for Consideration of Bill - Katelyn Przybylski, 20200 Deering Motioned by Candy Little seconded by Rich Skaggs #WS 6254 09/22 RESOLVE, that after discussion with Ms. Przybylski the Water and Sewer Board does hereby grant effective September 12, 2022 a Twelve (12) month extension at the end of which the account will have a zero balance, including REGULAR MEETING WATER & SEWER BOARD September 12, 2022 all new bills generated during that time. All late fees will be held in abeyance during this time, with the understanding that if the balance is not paid by the expiration date of this extension, all such late fees held in abeyance, plus any additional fees incurred for nonpayment will be returned to the account. Additionally, the Board requests that the outstanding balance that would be assigned to the 2022 Winter taxes not be consigned, provided the account is in good standing and meeting their obligations if under a payment plan agreement. The Board does also hereby grant the removal of the penalty dated August 15, 2022 in the amount of $32.72. Letter dated August 17, 2022 from Supervisor of Public Service, Subject: Request for Consideration of Bill - Annie Rawlings, 14134 Brentwood Motioned by Rich Skaggs seconded by Candy Little #WS 6255 09/22 RESOLVE, that the Water and Sewer Board does deny and will take no further action on the request of the above customer, due to the fact that they did not appear at the September 12, 2022 meeting. Letter dated September 1, 2022 from Supervisor of Public Service, Subject: Request for Consideration of Bill - Ray Jarzembowski, 17398 Parklane Motioned by Rich Skaggs seconded by Candy Little #WS 6256 09/22 RESOLVE, that the Water and Sewer Board does deny and will take no further action on the request of the above customer, due to the fact that they did not appear at the September 12, 2022 meeting.
