THE LIVONIA COMMISSION ON AGING
Date: May 10, 2022
Call to Order: 5:32 PM
Roll Call: Present – Bob Carris, Laurel Marmul, Theresa Goodrich, Karl Peters, Dan Centers
Excused – Michelle Moccia, Gay Ware
Old Business:
A. Motion to update the Minutes of the May 10, 2022, made by Bob Carris and
seconded by Laurel Marmul, motion passed unanimously.
B. Motion to approve the Treasurer’s report was made by Dan Centers and seconded
by Laurel Marmul, motion passed unanimously.
C. Non-Resident Fee Report distributed
New Business: A. Report on Senior Center Tours
Formal Recommendations for new center
i. Many commission members participated in the established site visits which
was very helpful to visualize wants/needs for the Livonia center and learn
opportunities for improvement.
ii. Storage will need to be a priority in the new center as it is currently a
challenge
iii. Karl Peters to compile a wish list from the tour experiences to provide to
Design Committee Representative
iv. Design Committee Representative - Bob Carris has volunteered to be the
Design Committee Representative and will report back activity to the
commission.
B. Programming Updates
i. None
