HomeMy WebLinkAboutPLANNING MINUTES 1942-03-13ZONMG HEARING March 13, 1942 Hearing held by the Livonia Township Planning Board at the Pierson .School in District No. 2, Livonia Township. Meeting was called to order by Carson Johnston at 8:15 P.M. Members present were as follows: Carson Johnston George Bentley vailliam Fenske Jease Ziegler Harry S. Volfe Kenneth Parker, Assistant of T.Glenn Phillips Mr. Johnston introduced Mr. Parker who proceeded to explain how the Board had tentatively zoned the Township, subject to final approval. Mr. Jenkins of 28004 Seven Mile Road asked how two parcels would be affected if the two parcels totaled five acres. Mr. Parker explained to him that this territory could not be used except as a non -conforming use, unless it conforms to the immediate surrounding property. Mr. Jenkins stated that he bought the property for the purpose of a home and business or a riding stable . He stated that the property was unrestricted when he bought it and in view of the fact that :said land was across from a beer garden and that the surrounding development was such ttht business or a riding academy would not injum'e the surrounding property, he Pelt that the property should be left unrestricted. Mr. Parker stated that this would be taken under advisement by the Planning Board and due consideration given. There being no further business or questions the meeting was adjourned. After the Hearing, the Board held a meeting and it was ZON]J40 HIi,ARING March 13-1942 (Continued) decided that the next hearing would be held at the Township Hall, Friday evening, March 27th and Friday evening, April 3rd at the Rosedale School, said hearings to be advertised in the Livonian on March 18, 1942.
