HomeMy WebLinkAboutPLANNING MINUTES 1943-03-10MEETING OF THE LIVONIA TOWNSHIP PLANNING BOARD March 10, 1943 Meeting of the Livonia Township Planning Commission was held at the Township Hall, March 10, 1943. Members present were as follows: Carson Johnston William Fenslce George Bentley The meeting was called to order by Carson Johnston at 9:15 o'clock Mr. <1171r Al:: 0 N--. , of- 4L F, sf ;e _l= came before the Board to explain the possibilities of making improve- ments in the Township as a post-war project. Mr. - suggested that the Board call the different school boards of the Town- ship to a meeting and see what their attitude was toward establishing a high school in the Township and consolidate the Township into one district. The question came up regarding installation of sewers, water, im- provements of roads, etc. Mr.L 6S:cr--Q,, was asked if the areas could get any assistance from the Federal Government for the improvements. He said that the Government would not commit itself to any assistance, but that Pontiac and other cities and districts were submitting projects with the idea in mind that they would receive assistance due to the fact that it would be impossible to pay the whole cost while limited to the 15 will tax limitation.
