Members present were as follows: Also present were: Carson Johnston George Bentley George Isbell William Fenske Luther Whiteley, Building Inspector Harry S. Wolfe, Asst. Secretary John Dayton, Attorney Meeting was called to order by Carson Johnston, Chairman, at 8:00 o'clock P. M. Mr. Whiteley reported a number of violations in the Township to the Zoning Ordinance and the Building Code. After some discussion, Mr. Dayton was asked to prepare a fora letter to send to these violators and have them appear before the Com— mission on Tuesday evening, August 17, 1943. Moved byWilliam Fenske, supported by George Isbell, that the Commission meet again on August 17, 1945 at 8:00 o'clock P. M. Carried. A petition was submitted to the Commission by the Livonia Township Board to get their recommendation as to the following petition: "We, the undersigned, being residents of the Township of Livonia, County of Wayne and State of Michigan, do certify that we have examined the plans and specifications for the residence building which Louis E. Jennings and Marie B. Jennings propose to build and for which they have applied for a hn,ildinz permit on Lots 445 and 446 of Golden Ridge Subdivision #1, Livonia. Township, Wayne County, Michigan, and request the Township Board 6i said township to take such steps as may be necessary to allow the erection of the building as planned." MEETING OF LIVONIA TOWNSHIP PLANNING BOARD, CONTINUED (August 6, 1943) "To.the:Honorable Township Board Livonia Township The owners of the lots as indicated on the attached petition do hereby request your board for a change in use of the zoning restrictions in the area bounded by Hix Road on the West, Ann Arbor Road and West Chicago Blvd. on the North, Joy Road on the South, and Storehouse Avenue on the East, which is also known as Golden Ridge Subdivision —from R-1 (ONE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT) to an R-3 Multiple Dwelling District." Moved by William Fenske, supported by George Bentley, that the Planning Board recommend to the Township Board that it set a date for a public hearing and give due notice of said hearing so that all interested owners of property in the district affected by the proposed change may be heard, either for or against such change in use above mentioned Golden Ridge Subdivision #1.
