HomeMy WebLinkAboutPLANNING MINUTES 1943-09-21MEETING OF THE LIVONIA TOWNSHIP PLANNING BOARD September 21, 1943 Meeting of the Livonia Township Planning Commission was held at the Township Hall on September 21, 1945. Members present were as follows: Carson W. Johnston George Bentley George L. Isbell The Commissions attention was called to a letter from Newman Development Company, dated September 11, 1943, requesting that the Zoning Ordinance now in, effect in Golden Ridge Subdivision, situated at the Northeast corner of Rix and Joy Roads, in Section 31, Livonia Township, be changed to R®1=F District. Also a petition circulated by Mrs. Mildred E. Jennings, residing . in Golden Ridge Subdivision, petitioning that the subdivision be changed from an R-1 District to an R-3 District. Moved by George Bentley, seconded by George Isbell, that the Planning Commission recommend to the Township Board that it,:set'.a date. for a public hearing and give due notice of said hearing so that all interested owners of property in the district affected by the proposed change may be heard, either for or against such change in use above mentioned Golden Ridge Subdivision. Carried, A tentative plan of the B. E. Taylor Green Acres Subdivision was presented and discussed, but no action was taken. A letter addressed to Carson Johnston, dated September 18, 1943, MEETING OF LIVONIA TOYWNSHIP PLANNING BOARD, CONTINUED (September 21, 1943) from the Livonia Township High School Organizing Committee, re- questing financial assistance was presented for consideration. Moved by George Bentley, supported by George Isbell, that this matter be referred to the Township Board for their consideration.
