HomeMy WebLinkAboutPLANNING MINUTES 1945-10-25Oct. 25, 1945 IVieeting of Livonia Township Palnning Board, held at Livonia Township Hal, Oct. 25, 1945. Meeting called to order at 8.15 pm by Chairman Johnston. Members ptesent, Chairman Johnston, G. N. Bentley and Wm. Fenske. Absent. G. L. Isbell. Mr. G. N. Bentley acting Secretary pro-tem. In the absence of Secretery Isbell, no minutes were read. Mr. J. Kitchen appeared before the Board regarding a proposed building at Morelock near Eight Mile Road. This was found nonconforming and could not be permitted. Mr. Akens, 13324 Farmington Road appeared regarding a temporary building at this address which was pronounced satisfactory. Mr. Lee, 13374 Farmington Road appeared regarding a proposed tool shop for above address. This proposed building was found conforming to zoning covering this location and no action by the board was necessary. Mr. Varge and Mr. Konola appeared Mr. Hotelling, a turkey raiser on Olsen st. Mr. Mason, Chief of Police for Livonia Township, was requested to investigate and if any ordinance has beennviolated to prepare necessary papers for court action. Mr. Mason, Chief of Police and Building Inspecton, appeared with a number of questions, all of which were answered by Chairman Johnston and members of the Board to his satisfaction.. The matter of proper zoning for the property occupied by the box factory on Five Mile Road East of Merriman Road was discussed and it was decided that this location should be zoned as C-2 instead on a M district. Attorney John B. Ambrose was instructed to write a letter that effect to the new Company. It was ordered by the Board that Attorney John B. Ambrose notify the Newman Farms, I nc. Attorney to meet with this Board at the Livonia Township Red Cross Building on Six Mile Road near Middle - Belt Road at eight pm, friday, Nov. 2nd 1945.
