Minutes of Special Meeting of the Livonia Township Planning Board
held at Livonia Township Ha11, Wayne County, Mich. =xNov. 12, 1945.
Meeting called to order at 8. pm. by Chairman Jo#nston . Present,
All board members and attorney John B. Ambrose.
The matter of zoning the district covering the west ten
acres of the NE* of the NW4 of Sec . 23, and the south two hundred
and sixty feet of the North three hundred and twenty feet of the
east one hundred and five feet of the west twatrxxkunctraixaxl
sxxxximaxx2mmtx thirteen hundred and twenty two feet (0.63 acres)
and the south two hundred and sixty feet of the north three hundred and
twenty feet of the east one hundred and five feet of the west twelve
hundred and seventeen feet of the NW4 of Sec . 23 (0.63 acres) was
discussed. This property now occupied by a box factory and a cement
block manufacturer and facing on the South side of Five Mile Road
East of Merriman Ave. It was the opinion of Mr. G. N. B ntley
that since this land is, and has been for several years, used for
industrial purposes, it should have been zoned as M-1. On motion by
G. N. Bentley, seconded by G. L. Isbell it was moved that this
property be zoned as m-1. Ayes 3, nays 1, Mr, Penske dissenting.

On Motion by Wm. Penske, seconded by G. L. Isbell,
meeting was adjourned until next regular meeting on the last
Thursday in November, being the 29th, at 8.pm. Motio carried.
