This meeting is a Public hearing to consider petitions for
change in Zoning.
The meeting was called to order at BM P.M by Chairman
Johnston.
Man, George N. Bentley,
Actin; Secretary, Robert newsy, Member, and Attorney John Ambrose.
Attorney Ambrose reads the Legal Notice of the Public Hearing.
The first petition is for a. change from A- 1-0 to A-G-1-B on
the following described property:
The area bounded on the North by Pickford Avenue;
on. the East by Merriman Road; on the South by
Six Mile Road; on the West by Hubbard Road, running
from Six Mile Road on the South to Curtis Avenue
on the North, then Westerly along Curtis Avenue
to Brookfield Avenue; thence running Northerly on
Brookfield Avenue to Pickford Avenue, the place
of beginning,

Attorney Ambrose explains that ohangeing from A-C-1-0 to
A.4"-1-b increases the livable floor area from 576 nw. ft. to 800 sq.ft.
Mr. N. ri. Schoenberg was present. to approve the change. There
was no opposition.
The second petition is for change from R-2-C to 0-1 on the
followin ; described property:
The area bounded on the North by Pembroke Avenue,
on the East by Inkster Road; on the South by
Cambridge Avenue and on the West by an imaginary
line running parallel to Inkster Road, which is
approximately 100 feet West of Inkeeber Road.
Attorney Ambrose explains the difference between R-2-C and C-1.
Pdr.. Jos. ".race and Mrs. Ida Furrow were present to approve of the
cbange. There was no opposition.
The third petition is for a change from R-U-F-C to C-1 an the

The fourth petition is for a change from R-1-13 to C-1, on the
following described property;
The area bounded on the East by the imaginary
line of the continuation of Wayne Road; on the
South by Plymouth Road; en the West to a point
which is approximately 525 feet 'Jest of the
imaginary line of Wayne Road, and on the North
to an imaginary line which is approximately
300 feet North of and parallel with Plymouth Rd.
.'hose present included Mrs Mapolitano, the instigator of the
on, who owns 85 feet frontage on Plymouth Road, Mr. "dw. Ryan,
who owns 239 feet frontage on Plymouth Road, and about ten repre-
sentatives of the Alden Villaf%e Association.
Mr' Napolitano explained that he wanted the change
planned a Super Market of very modern construction, and
the depth of 300 feet North, for parking facilities.
Mr. Ryan stated that be was a Chef at the Detroit
and wanted to build a Restaurant and Dining Room on his
and that it mould be an asset to the community.
Conflderabie discussion followed concerning these projects
backing; right into the homes of Alden Village, and also about the
need for a north and south road at that point. The opening of
Wayne Road to the north of Plymouth was discusser, and Chairman
Johnston suggested taking this up with the Wayne Countt Road Comm.
At this point, since no conclusion could be reached, it was
moved by Mr. Bentley, and seconded by Mr. Rowel, that this petition
be taken under advisement. Motion carried.

The fifth petition is fo
following described property:
The area bounded on the North by West Chicago
Bllid; on the West by Middlebelt Road; on the South
by an imaginary line parallel to West Chicago Blvd.,
to a point approximately 600 feet distant, and on
the East to an imaginary line parallel to Middlebelt
Road to a point approximately 100 feet distant.
There was no one present who was interested In this change.

Mr. Bentley now reads a Petition .from the residents of
Oporto Avenue north of Five Mile, concerning Shade being used for
other than the purpose intended.
i•tr. Rice, 15930 Oporte states that the sheds are not being
used for Tool Sheds - that school children use them for play houses
and start fires in t he brush surrounding that is a danger to the
adjacent homes.
Mr. Materno, 1.5509 Oporto, states that some 'sheds are being
used by the ovme.rs for staying in over week ends. Special mention
was made of Prof. Jarman, Lot 54, who tore down the 'Condemnedn
sign that had been posted by the Building Inspector..
Mr. McDonald, 15625 Oporto, and Mr, McKay, 30062 Puritan were
also present to complain - Mr. McKay asked for assira.nce that no
more permits would be issued for small buildung In the vicinity.
Pair. Perry also complains about one of the neighbors blocking
the drive into give Mile from Oporto by parking a trailer at that
point. He was advised to contact the Wayne County Sheriff on this
point.
This matter will all be referred to the Building Inspector
who will make a completed investigation and.report on his findings.
Ida Furrow, complains about Mr. Wolfe in'the second house
on St. Przncis from Vassar,- causing a nuisance by burning rubbish
from the Detroit Gasket Co., in a stove at that address.
This matter will also be referred to the Building Inspector:
Mr. L. J. Rowell, 28820 Joy Rd., appeared to complain about
Mr. Nelson, just west of 28820 Joy Rd., doing'garago work at night,
disturbing the neighbors. This is a wooden building, with stove
heat and no water connection.
This will be referred to the Building Inspector for investigation.
