Chairman Johnston called the meeting to order at 8:15 P.M. Seconded by Mr. }lewey. Motion carried. A petition presented by '=':r. H. 0. Stanley was read by Attorney Ambrose, to change tine Zoning on Sohoolsraft Road beginning 265.50 feet from the Northwest corner of Secbi.on 26, East; of Merriman Bond, to a 0-1 District. Mr. StanleyVa property at that point extends 103 feet East, 35 feet of which is now 0-1, the balance R- 1-I''-B. of the adjacent property owners are present to discuss this change. Also present - Mr. !carry Johnson, Superintendent of Schools in Livonia Township, Mr. Bentley briefly outlined the purpose of this discussion, mainly, that the home on this property is sufficiently large to permit the housing of school teachers coming to tho Township from out-of-town. Mop. Bentley states there are 12 to 14 such teachers needing rooms and t.:. t something should be done about their housing, but that he did not think changing the Zoning to 0-1 was the answer, as a residence in a 0-1 district would have to conform to the contiguous zoning district. Mr. Harry Johnson at this point spoke at some length of the need for housing for the school teachers. Oonsiderable discussion followed pro and con among those prenent- thc consensus of opinion among the property owners being that they were willing to allow titr. The area described as: Beginning at a paint on the center line of Wayne Road to a distance of 1314.66 feet along the East and Kest 1/4 line to a point; thence pro- ceeding Southerly along said center line 858.56 feat to a point; thence proceeding Easterly 330.4t feet to a point; thence proceeding Northerly 367.79 feet to a point; thence proceeding Westerly 577.15 feet to the place of beginning, to be chanted from an I?-11-F--C requirement to an A-0-1-8 requirement. 3 The area described cgs: Beginning at a point which is 790 feet Vast of the center of Merriman Road along the Northerly side of Plymouth.Road; thence continuing 262.68 foot to a point; thence continuing North 100 feet to a point; thence continuing Westerly along; a line which is parallel to Plymouth Read 262.68 feet to a point; thence continuing Southerly 100 feet to the place of beginning, to be flanged from an R-15.TP-B requirement to a C-1 requirement.
